Kidney Health Week is held annually during the last week of May (22-28 May). The week aims to create awareness about maintaining kidney health, as well as kidney disease and its impact. Find out if you are at risk.

Everyday, 60 Australians die with kidney-related disease
Diabetes and high blood pressure are two of the most common causes of kidney disease
Kidney disease affects an estimated 1.7 million Australians
Do you have a risk factor?
High blood pressure
Over 60 years of age
Heart problems and /or have had a stroke
Family history of kidney disease
History of acute kidney injury
Of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin
If you answered yes to any of these, take action with an annual kidney health check with your GP.
