NOW Board Member recognised for volunteer efforts

On Thursday, 3 November, Nurses On Wheels Board Member, Robert Phillips received the Senior Volunteer Achievement Award as part of the 6th Annual St George Community Awards, presented by Mark Coure MP, Member for Oatley.

Robert Phillips has been contributing as a volunteer Board member and Public Officer at Nurses On Wheels for eight years. He is Deputy Chair of St Gabriel’s Bexley and President of the St George Instrumental Eisteddfod, where he assists young students to increase their love of music development for their future life in the various arts of music. Robert has been a Chaplain at St George Hospital since 1996 and works tirelessly in the local community helping the disadvantaged and those less fortunate.

Robert attends Nurses On Wheels board meetings monthly and contributes to the strategic direction and positive environment of the organisation. Nurses On Wheels would like to acknowledge his ongoing support and dedication, which allows us to provide professional and caring nursing services in the St George and Sutherland Shire communities.
